Research has proven that true capacity building is most significantly impacted by sustained and intense coaching.  Therefore, Metro West GLRS provides support to school districts in the form of multi-year projects.   Districts that are interested in partnering with GLRS to provide professional learning initiate a process by which the building administrator applies for participation on an annual basis.  The application describes the overall  learning targets for the training and coaching, the school and/or district improvement goals that will be supported by the training, designated participants and supervisors of the project, and data collection procedures.  The application should be signed by the building principal and special education director along with participants.

School systems may contact Kimberly Simmons, GLRS Director, at any time during the year to request information about upcoming projects and are encouraged to participate in an orientation prior to joining a project.
